Mabel Wright was retired from Wilson football factory
Mabel L. Wright, 71, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 9:08 p.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on May 16, 1949 in Foraker, Ohio, to Franzel and Virgie (Prater) Castle who preceded her in death. On Oct. 12, 1968, Mabel married Gary D. Wright and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1992.
Mabel retired from Wilson Football Factory of Ada where she worked as a lacer. She was a member of the Kenton Moose Lodge #428 and the Liberty Grange.
She is survived by her children: Starlene (Wade) Furr of Kenton, Gary Wright of Lima and Shane (Kelly) Wright of Ada; four grandchildren: Cassandra Ellcessor, Torie (Bryce) Gray, Seth Wright and Madison Wright; three great grandchildren: James, Bryndice, and Theodora; a brother: Frank Castle of Alger; and six sisters: Mary (Gary) Simon of Ada, Betty Warmbrod of Kenton, Charlene (Doug) Karfit of Ada, Linda (Robert “Butch”) LaRue of Ada, Thelma Smith of Belle Center and Lisa Castle of Weekie Wachee, Florida.
She was preceded in death by a great grandson: Quentin Ellcessor; five brothers: Russell, Albert, James and Terry Castle and Bill Stephens; and two sisters: Joyce Stanley and Sadie Allen.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 19, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to National Alzheimer’s Association and/or Autism Speaks.
