Micah Bulldog Cook makes HM All-NWC

DELPHOS - Ada senior guard Micah Cook received All-Northwest Conference basketball honorable mention notice from league coaches in voting conducted at their annual selection meeting this week.
Cook averaged 11 points per game overall and 13.1 ppg in NWC play, leading Ada in scoring and three-point field goals. He also averaged 3.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists a game.
The Bulldogs finished the 2020-21 season with a 3-19 record, and Ada went 1-7 in the NWC. Cook was the top vote-getter on the honorable mention list.
Columbus Grove senior Blake Reynolds was a repeat selection as the NWC Player of the Year by the league coaches.
Joining Reynolds on the All-NWC first team were Kalen Etzler (Crestview), teammate Tayt Birnesser (Columbus Grove), Collin Overholt (Lincolnview), Blake McGarvey (Paulding) and Creed Jessee (Lincolnview).
Tyler Clum of Allen East (2-6 NWC) was named second team all-conference. Mustang teammates Gabe Criblez and Garrett Newland were voted honorable mention all-league.
Former Ada mentor Chris Sautter of unbeaten league champion Columbus Grove was voted NWC Coach of the Year for the second straight year.
