Dear neighbors, as President of the Friends of the Ada Public Library and a lifelong reader, I would like to encourage everyone to vote for the 5-year, 1-mil renewal levy this fall. This is NOT a new tax.
Reading, with a variety of subject options, is so important for a child's development and for the enjoyment of adults. And for those who don't take advantage of reading, there is so much more to our library. There are so many programs offered for all ages; there is sure to be one (or more) of interest to you.
MEDIA RELEASE__The Ada Exempted Village School District is putting a new spin on its traditional Veterans Day observance this year. Because students will be in school on Veterans Day, Ada Schools will welcome area veterans to join students for breakfast, fellowship and a student-led Veterans Day Honor Ceremony.
As in years past, Ada Schools invites all area veterans to attend the Veterans Day Breakfast on Wednesday, November 11, beginning at 8:15 a.m. In addition to the open invitation, students in grades K–12 will receive invitations to take home and are encouraged to invite a veteran—whether a family member, friend or community member—to attend the breakfast and Honor Ceremony. Veterans who register with a student will get to sit together at the breakfast.

Natural Choice Family Farms, a dairy farm owned and operated by the Imboden family, is helping Upper Scioto Valley School District meet that need by providing a charitable contribution for the 2026-27 school year.
