Ron Hackworth was retired from Whirlpool Corp.
Ronald E. “Ron” Hackworth, 78, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 8:03 p.m. at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born on May 14, 1942, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to the late Maynard and Rushie (Wright) Hackworth. On Oct. 1, 1966, Ron married Mary F. Smith who survives in Ada.
Also surviving is a son, Todd (Nicole) Hackworth of Dunkirk; two daughters: Michelle (Keith) Vossberg of Tampa, Florida, and Erin Swick of Ada; four grandchildren: Casey, Morgan, Gabbi and Garrett; and a sister, Donna Guyton of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Hackworth; and a brother, Spunk Hackworth.
Ron retired from Whirlpool Corporation. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Ron was a member of the Colonial Hills Golf Club.
Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements. Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.
It was Ron’s wish to be cremated. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 19, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
