Ten Ada High School students had 18 pieces of artwork on display in the 2023 Kewpee High School Invitational Exhibit at Artspace/Lima. Additional photos are posted HERE on the Ada Bulldogs Facebook page.

  • Brendan Jameson - 2nd Place in Ceramics for “Drippy Vase”
  • Kya Tabler - 2nd Place in Mixed Media for “Modern Angel”

The Ada Historical Society hosted artifact collector Brandon Place in the village's historic train depot on March 4, collecting a crowd of folks. Organizers posted photos including the one above on Facebook and thanked "all the people who came to listen to Brandon, share their treasures and talk with us!" TROY--Ada High School junior Clayton McClain finished a strong fourth in the 144 lbs. division at the Div. III northwest district double-elimination tournament Friday and Saturday, March 3-4, at Hobart Arena.

With his top-four showing buoyed by a 4-1 record at the event, McClain advanced to the state meet at the Schottenstein Center March 10-12 in Columbus.

Seeded first in his quarter of the 16 wrestlers at the district event, McClain won his first two matches handily Friday.

First, he pinned junior Dallas Coffey of South Charleston Southeastern in 3:30 of the first round.

This isn’t Bluffton; it’s Ada, home of the Odeon movie theatre.

In case you wonder, Odeon is a word describing ancient Greek and Roman buildings built for singing, musical shows and poetry readings.

The photo, taken in 1939, shows a marquee announcing the Western comedy “Destry Rides Again,” staring Jimmy Stewart and Marlene Dietrich.

HARDIN COUNTY–The 2023 Hardin County Poultry Banquet will be held Saturday, March 25 at the Family Center of the Kenton Christian & Missionary Alliance Church located at 15436 State  Route 309 in Kenton, Ohio. 

Chicken will be provided as the main course. Each family attending is asked to bring their most requested, best-tasting side dish and dessert to share.There will be no charge for the evening, but reservations are necessary. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with dinner at 6:00 p.m. Table service will be provided.
