Eddie Nichols worked at Superior Coach for 20 years
Eddie L. Nichols, 81, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at 10:05 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on April 26, 1939, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to the late Hargis and Polly Ann (Keaton) Nichols. On April 9, 1957, Eddie married Dorothy J. Mayer and she preceded him in death on June 28, 2018.
Eddie retired from Superior Coach of Lima after working for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid coon hunter. Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his three children: Rebecca (Fred Smith) Castle of Foraker, Diana (Reginald) Paule of Harrod and Eddie (Sandy) Nichols Jr. of Lakeview; five grandchildren: Jason (Chasity) Castle, Scott Stahler, Rebecca Delong, Randy Sickles and Kyle Nichols; a great grandchild, Jayvin Castle; six brothers: Elwood (Linda) Nichols, Wayne Nichols, Buck Nichols, George Nichols, Randy Nichols and Martin Nichols all of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Nickencie Castle; four brothers: Carl Nichols, Casper Nichols, Kelly Nichols and R.C. Nichols; and three sisters: Clistine Neff, Anna Marie Nichols and Kathy Long.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 26, at Preston Cemetery, Alger. The family would appreciate face coverings be worn at the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
