The Ada High School boys baseball team was seeded eighth at the Div. VI Northwest 2 Coldwater sectional/district drawing Sunday.

The Bulldogs (4-15) will play at top seed Marion Local (11-5) Saturday, May 24 at noon.

The winner advances to the district semifinals Wednesday, May 28 at 5 p.m. against the victor between third-seeded Columbus Grove (11-9) and sixth seed Perry (13-4).

St. Henry (11-7) was seeded second in the eight-team district, and will host seventh seed Parkway (7-14) May 24 in their opening round bout.

MAY 5 MEDIA RELEASE (LIMA)__Crime Victim Services is seeking volunteer facilitators to mediate conversations between crime victims and those who harmed them.

ADA – Ada High School hosted its annual 16-team Invitational track and field meet at War Memorial Stadium on a sunny Saturday, May 10.

Bluffton won the boys and girls team titles. The Pirate girls easily outscored second-place Spencerville, 146 points to 84. Van Wert was third (74), while Ada finished 13th with 19 points.

The Bluffton boys took first with 151 points, far ahead of second-place Van Wert (69). Mohawk and Arlington tied for third with 61 points. The Ada boys were eighth with 37 points.

Ada senior Logan Jolliff finished third in the 100-meter dash to post one of the top Bulldog boys showings.

MAY 7 MEDIA RELEASE__The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance announces the selection of Jennifer Ramge as the Kenton Historic Courthouse District Coordinator & Alliance Program Assistant. 

In her role as Kenton Historic Courthouse District Coordinator, Ramge will be responsible for promoting business activation and development by coordinating the Downtown Kenton Building & Business Owners Association (DBA), supporting historic preservation, planning events and collaborating with other organizations.

MAY 8 ONU.EDU/NEWS__Ohio Northern University isn’t exactly known for loud, raucous mayhem, but on May 9, 1975, things were different.

On that night, the now legendary rock band KISS performed for a packed, frenzied crowd in the newly-opened King Horn Sports Center. KISS debuted what would be become their anthem, “Rock ’n Roll All Nite," and their pyrotechnics scorched the ceiling.
