Bulldogs eliminated by Indians in sectionals

FT. RECOVERY - The visiting Ada baseball team lost 17-1 at Ft. Recovery in Div. IV sectional semifinal action Tuesday evening.
The Bulldogs dropped to 7-14 overall following the defeat.
FR improved to 9-16 with the win, and advances to the second round Thursday, May 20 at fifth seed Crestview (11-10). The Knights beat New Knoxville 11-1 in their sectional semifinal.
The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run rule.
Senior Jacob Morgan had a hit, was hit by a pitch and scored the only Ada run on an RBI hit by Kadin Phipps.
Classmates Jacob Poling, Cameron Bober and Trent Ennis each added a single.
Sophomores Roman Snyder and Spencer Wall each drew a walk.
FR's Alex Dues earned the pitching win with 2 1/3 innings of shutout relief. He struck out five Bulldogs.
Ryne Post led the Indian offense with a triple, double, two runs and four runs batted in.
Brock Dues hit a single, doubled, drove in two runs and scored twice. Kendrik Wendel scored twice and drove in two runs with a single.
