GENEVA — Senior Kase Schalois (Van Wert) and junior Matt Molinaro (Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLaSalle) each posted top-3 finishes in their respective events to earn All-American honors on the final day of the 2017 NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
As a team, Northern set a school-record with 12 total team points at the championships.
The Polar Bears finished tied for 23rd in the team standings with 12 points.
Molinaro owned the fastest time heading into the finals for the 800-meter run and was edged at the finish line before finishing third in 1:51.39.
Congratulation to Sgt. Donnie Deckling for graduating from the 71st Police Executive Leadership College. This course entailed 13.5 days in class over three months, 20 required readings, 13 journal entries, 5 research papers, 5 community interviews, 20 topics, 3 team projects, 3 speeches and 15 instructors.

Family and friends were proud and happy Sunday afternoon when 61 Ada High School students received their diplomas in the school gym. Nine of them completed their studies at Apollo Career Center.
Soon-to-be-graduates processed into the gym while the high school band played "Fanfare and Processional."
History teacher Mike Styer gave the commencement address.
