Ada's latest news

Don't miss all the events at the Ada Public Library on Saturday as summer reading sign-up takes place.

The 2014 Ada Consumer Confidence Report, also known as CCR, will be available to the general public on June 1, 2015.

Making the report available is an annual requirement for compliance with the Safe Drinking
Water Act for community water systems throughout the country. According to the U.S. EPA, the report “lists the regulated contaminants found in the drinking water…..as well as health effects information.”

The Village passes this information along to its consumers not just to comply with
the federal regulations, but also because the administration feels it is important for consumers to know where their drinking water comes from and what affects it.

While Summer Reading 2015 officially kicks off this Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., with face painting, touch-a-truck, 4-H animals, and a huge used book sale led by the FRIENDS of the Library, that's just the tip of the iceberg!

If you can't make it Saturday just stop by during the following weeks to sign-up for the Summer Reading program: BABIES - ADULTS!

In case you were wondering what type of fun is in store at the library for the 6 weeks of the program, just check out our great activities on our online calendar!

Outdoor movies in Ada! That's right. This summer

Three family-oriented outdoor movies will be shown this summer on the Ohio Northern Univesity tundra sponsored by The Freed Center for the Performing Arts and Bluffton Hospital.

The movies and dates are:

Friday, June 5 - Frozen
Friday, July 3 - Toy Story
Friday, Aug. 7 - Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Movies are shown at dusk. Popcorn and beverages are avialable for purchase. Families are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the movies under the stars.

In between nature's showers, flowers need a little drink. Of course, this photo was taken prior to the May 26 rain.
