Joan Frisch was a school bus driver
Joan Sue Frisch, age 78, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2:36 PM at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 2, 1942 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Robert and Susan (Hedden) Gee. On January 1, 1962 Joan married Carl W. Frisch, Jr. and he survives in Alger.
Joan retried as a bus driver, through the years she drove school bus for Lakota Schools and Allen East Schools. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Ada.
Joan is survived by two sons: Carl (Sherry) Frisch, II of Paulding and Robert Frisch of Alger; two daughters: Elizabeth (Eugene “Gene”) Hoffman of Helena and Brenda (Crosby) McDorman of Harrod; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law: Carolyn (Richard) Gamby of Carey, Catherine Cassidy of Fostoria and Margaret Hammer of Fostoria.
Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Gee and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Goshe.
A funeral mass will begin at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2021at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Ada with Father Ed Shikina. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. A prayer service will begin at on 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 28th at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or Putnam County Hospice.
