ONU to hold children'ts auditions for roles in 'Holiday Spectacular,' 'Beauty and the Beast'
Do you know of a young singer or dancer between the ages of 5 and 12 who would love the opportunity to perform on stage? Ohio Northern University will hold children’s auditions this summer for its "Holiday Spectacular" extravaganza and for the role of Chip, an enchanted teacup, in "Beauty and the Beast."
Auditions will take place from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 15 in the Freed Center for The Performing Arts, 500 W. College Ave., Ada. Those auditioning for the "Holiday Spectacular" may be asked to sing and be ready to participate in a dance call (jazz and/or tap shoes). Children interested in auditioning for "Beauty and the Beast" should also be prepared to sing and read sides. A script will be provided.
"Holiday Spectacular" will be performed on Ohio Northern University's campus on November 18, 19 and 20, and in Lima, Ohio on December 3, 4 and 5. "Beauty and the Beast" will be performed at ONU on October 2, 3, 14, 15, 16 and 17.
