It was a soggy Saturday at the Hardin County Fair. But the 62-degree temperature and the rainy remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon did not deter many hardy fair-goers.
Among the attractions at this year's fair were the usual rides, rabbits, and fair food, but also a first-time performance by young students of the Hardin County YMCA musical theatre troupe.
In spite of the nasty weather, most appeared to enjoy their day at the fair.

The Ohio Northern women's soccer team, ranked 8th nationally, picked up its first win of the 2018 season Saturday afternoon, defeating the Case Western Reserve Spartans 1-0 at Kerscher Stadium.
With the victory, the Polar Bears improve to 1-2-0 on the season while Case Western Reserve falls to a similar mark.

BLUFFTON -- The No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team opened play at the Bluffton Spiketacular on Friday night with a 25-22, 25-16, 29-27 loss to No. 23 Thomas More (Ky.) in a battle of nationally ranked programs at the Sommer Center.
