Ann Lowry Coe was homemaker and "antiquer"

Ann Lowry Coe, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born on March 15, 1940 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Robert K. and Jane (Buckley) Lowry. On October 17, 1959, Ann married Thomas E. Coe who preceded her in death on March 31, 2019.  Ann and Tom lived in Ada, Ohio their entire lives, celebrating nearly 60 years of marriage together.

Ann was a homemaker, lover of children (including the neighborhood children) and long-time fixture working at Peper’s Drugstore in Ada.  She once said that she loved children and always knew she was cut out to be a mother.  A skilled “antiquer,” Ann operated two antique booths in Bluffton and Pandora for many years. She was an active volunteer at the Ada Public Library, an avid gardener, master seamstress, and one of the best pie bakers around! Ann's love of nature and animals lives on in her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Lynne (Mike) Farlow of San Antonio, Texas; Michael (Shaun Pimental) Coe of Falmouth, Massachusetts; Molly (Clay) Ervine and their two children, Robert and Lily Ervine of Libertyville, IL; and sister, Lynn (Bill) Crooks of Raleigh, North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her brothers Thomas K. (Patti) Lowry of Grosse Pointe, Michigan and George (Trish) Lowry of Florida.

Private family burial will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Audubon Society at www.audubon.org.
