Julie Wilson, age 72, died on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 8:32 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.

          She was born on June 12, 1945 in Kenton, Ohio to Lewis D. and Ruth (Brown) Rader and they are both deceased.  On December 22, 1963 Julie married Thomas Wilson and he survives in Dola.  

Junior Ian McVey (Stow/Munroe Falls) broke the school record in the 3,000-meter run at the OSU Tune Up Meet on Friday evening, while senior Matt Molinaro(Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLaSalle) highlighted a strong showing for the Polar Bears at the Silverston Invitational on Friday.

McVey won the Ohio State Tune Up's 3,000-meter run, setting a new school-record in the event and posting a top-25 time nationally in the event in 8:25.84.

Molinaro led the way at the Silverston Invitational as he won the 1-mile run in 4:11.56, posting the 16th best time in the country in the event.

Senior Emily Richards (Delaware/Hayes) and sophomore Taylor Lavey (New Baltimore, Mich./Findlay) each set new school records to highlight ONU's day at the Silverton Invitational.

Richards bested her own school record in the 1-mile run and finished second overall in the event in 4:46.11. Her time is the sixth fastest time in Div. III history in the event, and currently leads the nation among Div. III athletes.

The senior now owns the best time in the country in the 800-meter run, the 1-mile run and the 3,000-meter run.

Bridge Bereavement Services will be offering a Forever Memories Group focused on loss, grief and healing through the creation of a memory frame. The group will be held on Tuesday, March 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Meadows of Ottawa, 147 Putnam Parkway, Ottawa.

The group is open to any adult who has recently experienced the death of a loved one. Participants are welcome to come commemorate their loved one’s life and memories through the creation of the frame. The loved one did not need to be a patient of Bridge Home Health & Hospice.

The Ohio Northern Symphony will present a concert, “Black History and Brahms,” at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 in the Freed Center.
