The three-day Main Street Across America Lincoln Highway Buy-Way Yard Sale began Thursday morning.

Tending an information booth along Main Street at the Railroad Park are (from left) Angela Polachek, Gerri Hawk, and Jill Simmons where yard sale-ers can find a map of sales in and about Ada and a map of towns participating from Indiana, through Ohio, to Pennsylvania.

The info booth also has Ada Sesquicentennial items for sale that were leftover fro the village's 150th celebration in 2003.

It’s a Saturday of fun in Beaverdam.

The Beaverdam-Richland Township Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments hold their annual Summerfest in the downtown area.

This year’s event starts at 4 p.m. and goes into the evening hours.

You’ll find homemade food and ice cream, bouncy rides for youth plus entertainment at 5 p.m. by SaMaX, a three-member band from Lima.

Several raffle prize drawings are at 9 p.m. Tickets are available at $1 each or six for $5. Persons do not need to be present to win.

Members of the Ada Schools cafeteria team this year are: Front row, left to right, Susan Baughman, Kelly Kloeppel,  and Amy Sheldon; back row, left to right, Ramona Sumney, Sarah Staley, Angela Wurst, and Tamie Thompson.  School Superintendent Meri Skilliter said, "Our cafeteria staff really loves on our students and builds a great social/emotional supportive environment."
