Cody Meyer collected memories to last a lifetime

Even though Cody Meyer has only been Klondike for a little more than a year, the stories he’s collected and the memories he’s made will last a lifetime.

“Being Klondike has meant the world to me,” says the mechanical engineering major.

Cody is one of four seniors who are taking off the mask and publicly revealing who they are, something that is absolutely forbidden for them to do while they are active Klondikes.

Vancrest of Ada residents celebrate St. Patrick's Day today with treats and spectacles. Seated (from left) are Helen McPherson and Patsy Worrell. Standing (from left) are Bonnie Cole, Howard Schich, and Colleen Schick.

This fashionable gentleman, well call him Fred, is sporting an Ada Icon cap.

The challenge, dear reader, is to guess where you'll find him.

Hint: you'll see him inside a business on South Main.

Answer. Fred helps keep store with Ruth Roider at Gallery for the Arts. Ruth won the Ada Icon cap at a recent Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting. (Monty Siekerman photo)

No one knows you like your primary care provider

Bluffton Hospital provides this feature on the importance of primary care providers (PCP). If you don't already have a PCP call the Blanchard Valley Medical Provider Physician Referral Line at 419-422.APPT (2778).

When you are not feeling well, it is important to contact your primary care provider (PCP) for guidance first.

This is the best place to receive care for common illnesses, minor injuries or routine wellness checks. Your PCP can be your partner in managing your health over a period of time, making chronic conditions less symptomatic.

To the Editor,

ONU's chapter of the Student Society of Health System Pharmacists is participating in National Poison Prevention Week, March 19-25. The week nationally highlights the dangers of poisonings and how to prevent them.

We invite others to join the movement by participating and advocating for the importance of poison prevention.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), poisoning is the leading cause of injury death in the United States. In 2014, poison centers managed 2.9 million cases, about 2.2 million of which were about people coming into contact with dangerous or potentially dangerous substances.

Ohio Northern is ranked 25th nationally in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings. Points are scored in nine men's and nine women's sports relative to their final standings in the NCAA Championships for those 18 sports.

The Polar Bears have scored 226.25 through March 15 and are expected to move up in the standings after the women's basketball team reached the Elite 8 of the NCAA III Tournament.
