In nearby Jackson Township, Allen County, officials thanked departing township trustee Thad Staley for 22 years of service. Staley followed in his father Russell’s footsteps; he served as trustee for 46 years.
With its six cemeteries, Staley notes that overseeing their operation is one of the major responsibilities of trustees and that in recent times they have been exceptionally busy.
His advice for potential trustees? “Give it a try. It can be a learning experience, too.” And his approach to the job? “Treat everybody the same.”
Jackson Township is one of the twelve townships of Allen County, Ohio, United States.
