Nov. 6 ONU Documentary Screening at Ada Theatre
The documentary film “Heart of an Ideal” celebrating the 150-year history of Ohio Northern University will be shown at the Ada Theatre, 215 S Main St, at noon on Saturday, November 6. Tickets for the screening are free and can be requested at nextfuturefilms.com https://www.nextfuturefilms.com/ or e-mail [email protected].
The film premiered at the Ada Theatre during ONU’s Homecoming Weekend in October. The film’s producers requested an ‘encore screening’ to give the local community another chance to view the historical film.
“It’s truly a story of one man’s goal coming to life,” said Bob Dawson, director and producer. “We weave in not only the founding of the University, but also the decades of trials and triumphs that helped shape ONU, its faculty, staff and many students.”
“Heart of an Ideal” captures ONU’s milestones through interviews, archival photography and footage not seen in more than 50 years. The production was donated to ONU by James Lehr Kennedy, the great-grandson of the University’s founder, Henry Solomon Lehr. “Heart of an Ideal” was written by Michael Shaw, associate produced by Ann Donnelly Hamilton and is presented by Next Future Films.
