Students flood into Ada Schools on Tuesday morning, the first day of school for the 2016-2017 school year. Twenty minutes before the bell rang, traffic was backed up onto State Route 81, cars waiting in line to deposit kids at the door. One wonders if anyone rode the bus or walked to school on opening day. In any case, most all of those entering the building had smiles on their faces and excitement was in the air. Take your keys out of the ignition, lock your car whether running into a store briefly or parked overnight at your home.
Seems obvious, but here is a recent post from the Ada Police department on their Facebook page:
"The Ada Police Department is investigating the theft of two motor vehicles within the past two weeks. Please always lock your car doors and take your keys into the house to prevent these types of issues."
As a matter of information, one of the vehicles has been recovered already.
