Nancy E. Deringer was a homemaker
Nancy E. Deringer, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 1:25 AM at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on November 21, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Thomas M.L. and Aura (Stinson) White. On July 26, 1975 Nancy married Charles E. Deringer and he survives in Ada.
Nancy was a homemaker, writer and avid reader.
She is also survived by her son and daughter: Adam (Malgosia) Hoff of Maumee and Rachelle (William) Benfield of Ada; a step son, David Deringer of Findlay; a step daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Gray of Harrod; a step daughter-in-law, Cathy Deringer of Marysville; two grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; and five sisters: Norma Headlee of Powell, Jane (Robert) Griffith of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Jean (Dan) Austin of Columbus, Marilyn Henderson and Carolyn (Joe) May both of Dublin.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tora Lee Hoff; a grandson, Robert Weyer; a step-son, Daniel Deringer; two step granddaughters: Dina Marie Deringer and Constance Gray; infant sister, Carol Ann White; four brothers: James White, Michael White, Eugene White and Thomas White; and two brothers-in-law, David Headlee and David Henderson.
Memorial services will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date in McElroy Cemetery, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Vancrest of Ada and/or St. Rita’s Hospice.
