Vicki Cheney worked at Ada High School
Vicki I. Cheney, age 70, passed from this natural earth on the morning of November 28, 2021.
Vicki was born March 10, 1951, in Lima, OH to Russell D. and JoAnn Kent. She graduated from Ada High School and returned to her alma mater as a Cook for many years and fed many of her “bonus kids.” Vicki married Larry G. Cheney on January 22, 1972. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage January 22, 2022.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Larry, two children, Larry (Jane) Cheney and Jessica Rodgers, five grandchildren, Taylor (Coby) Goble, Kenna (Eric King) Cheney, Austin Cheney, Kalil Rodgers and Kyson Rodgers and one great grandchild, Kinsleigh Goble.
Where you saw Larry, you would find Vicki. She always kept him in line…She enjoyed being a Grandma and feeding people. She will always be remembered for her chocolate dessert and cheesy potatoes.
Vicki was a spiritual person and a prayer warrior for many, always covering her family, friends and those who would be on her heart. She loved her family, angels, wind chimes, purple, her rings, her inherited cat, Gatsby and her Granddaughter’s crocheted hats and blankets.
She was preceded in death, by her Mother, Father and younger Brother. We know she is rejoicing with them now.
It was her wish to be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.
We ask in lieu of flowers that everyone who knew and loved her perform a random act of kindness in her memory.
