Hugh Clum was an architect
Hugh Clum, age 75, passed away at 8:05 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on October 28, 1946, in Lima, Ohio to James C. and Frances (Everett) Clum. Hugh was married to Kathyn “Kay” (Zimmerman) Clum for twenty-eight years.
Hugh is survived by two daughters: Ann Marie Clum of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jennifer (Doug) LaChausse of Kiowa, Colorado; four grandchildren: Abner Rosier of Nixville, SC, Sarah Frances LaChausse and Jeremiah LaChausse of Kiowa CO, and Soloman Clum of Colorado Springs, CO; three brothers: Keith (Rachel) Clum, Bruce Clum, and Paul (Rita) Clum of LaFayette; one sister-in-law, Nancy Clum of St. Marys; and five nephews: Jason Clum of Lima, Brian (Kelly) Clum of Ada, Jeremy (Casey) Clum of Ada, Luke (Stephani) Clum and Lason (Nikki) Clum of LaFayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kay, a brother, Mark, two sisters-in-law: Kathy Clum and Peggy Clum, and a niece, Kelly Rae Clum.
Hugh retired as an architect in Pueblo, Colorad. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, as a Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne Division, receiving two Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. He was a Past Worthy Grand Patron of Colorado Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a Past Master of Pueblo Lodge #17. Hugh was a previous member of the Zion Lutheran Church in LaFayette. He was a 1964 graduate of LaFayette Jackson High School and Stautzenberger College in Toledo. He received his license from the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada. He was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
