The Ada Public Library is proud to announce the arrival of two literacy computers in the Children's Department! The computers, geared toward kids ages 2 years - 2nd grade, offer the library's young patrons an opportunity to practice literacy skills with activities and games via ABC Mouse.
The computers were purchased with the help of a 2014 Hardin County Community Foundation grant. Many thanks go to this amazing foundation--we know the children at the library will surely appreciate the computers!
Pictured is Landon Mosher, age 4, enjoying the new literacy computer with his mom, Jessi Mosher!
There's something happening every day in Ada during April and May. Just check the Icon Ada Community Highlights Calendar.
The monthly events are posted below. A printer-friendly copy (nice for your refrigerator or bulletin board) is in an attachment at the bottom of this story.
The two-month calendar is posted six times a year by the Ada Icon as a service to the community.
The Community Pharmacy Foundation has awarded the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy a grant to fund a “Pharmacist Provision of Preconception Care Through Medication Therapy Management (MTM)” study.
The goals of the research are to raise awareness and educate community pharmacists about preconception care and providing preconception care through MTM, and to pilot a proof-of-concept model demonstrating the impact pharmacists can have in providing elements of preconception care through a potentially sustainable reimbursement model.
Tanya Sutton is surrounded by fragrant Easter lilies at Carol Slane Florist. To make the blooms last longer take out the yellow anther in the center of the bloom. When the flowers finish blooming they can be planted outdoors, about 6 inches deep. Thereafter the lilies will bloom annually, usually in July. The bulbs will last for many years.
