The holidays often find us with an excess of many things, including refuse.

Please remember to call the Water Office at 419-634-4045 or contact the office via email through the Village website, by the end of the day on Monday of each week, if you will have extra items for the regular weekly refuse pick up.

Waste Management may leave items that are outside of totes if we do not hear from you.

For your safety, please be sure to bag any refuse, including boxes and packaging. Refuse pickup after the holidays can be an ideal time for would-be thieves to scope out what new electronics and toys you may have received based on the boxes that have been left out for pick up.

Following the passage of the extenders legislation, the Internal Revenue Service announced today it anticipates opening the 2015 filing season as scheduled in January.

The IRS will begin accepting tax returns electronically on Jan. 20. Paper tax returns will begin processing at the same time.

The decision follows Congress renewing a number of "extender" provisions of the tax law that expired at the end of 2013. These provisions were renewed by Congress through the end of 2014. The final legislation was signed into law Dec. 19, 2014.
