An Ada resident was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Logan County, Ohio on the morning of January 16, 2022. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal crash involving Landon A. Blankenship, 20, who was pronounced dead after the 5:53 a.m. crash. Blankenship was the only occupant of the 2012 Nissan Quest minivan.

The crash occurred when Blankenship was traveling on North Main St. near Lake Ave. in West Mansfield. At a curve in the road, the minivan went off the left side of the pavement and continued off the road until striking a tree. The extensively damaged minivan became engulfed in flames. 

According to the crash report, Blankenship was extricated from the vehicle by mechanical means and was transported by Bokescreek EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital.
