Dean Rostorfer worked for Ferguson Construction
Gary G. “Dean” Rostorfer, age 69, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on October 7, 1952 in Kenton, Ohio to Russell and Alice (Brewer) Rostorfer, Jr. who preceded him in death. On July 14, 1973, Gary married Joyce M. Harpster and she survives in Harrod.
Gary worked as a construction superintendent at Ferguson Construction in Sydney. He was member of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. He attended the Victory Chapel of Praise. He enjoyed riding horses and was a member of the Hardin County Posse. He also participated in the Equestrian Therapy Program in Cridersville. He was a country music fan and loved playing the guitar and singing.
He is also survived by three sons: James Rostorfer of Cridersville, Timothy Rostorfer of Columbus, and Jesse (Kate) Rostorfer of Cardington; nine grandchildren: Chelsie, Caitlin, Braden (Hannah), Austin, Christian (Jessica), Ava, and Reese; and two great grandchildren; two brothers: Russell (Shirley) Rostorfer, III of Kenton and Jerry (Brenda) Rostorfer of Marysville; and two sisters: Glenna Furr of Kenton and June Traxler of Upper Sandusky.
Gary was preceded in death by two sisters: Bonnie Rostorfer and Diana Scott.
Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with David Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Roundhead. Graveside military services will be held by the Kenton Amvets Post #1994. The funeral service for Gary will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
