Della M. Newland worked for Ada Schools
Della M. Newland, age 69, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 6:58 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born March 18, 1952, in Kenton, Ohio to Tracy James and Teda (Patton) Fletcher who preceded her in death. On September 6, 1986, Della married Robert T. Newland and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2008.
Della is survived by her daughter, Carol Fletcher of Lima; four stepchildren: Diana Hoffer, Steve (Pat) Burris, Mike (Sue) Newland and Robert Newland, Jr.; and her fur babies: Olyve and Popeye.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul Fletcher, Elmer Fletcher, and Larry “Red” Fletcher; two sisters: Carol Jean Smith and Ruth Fletcher; and stepchildren: Brenda Burris, Jeff Newland, and Dennis Burris.
Della worked as a cook for the Ada Schools.
There will be no service or visitation. It was Della’s wish to be cremated.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the All Starr Pets, 4732 Amaryllis Street, Elida, Ohio 45807.
