To start things off, tell us the name of your college, what your major is, and what year you are.

I go to VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois. I am a flute major here and will go on to be a music teacher. I am currently starting my senior year here.

What was the hardest part about first moving from Ada to Chicago?

Ohio Northern University has announced the establishment of the Buster Rozier Jr. Nursing Incentive Scholarship for Minority Students Endowed Fund.

The scholarship, totaling approximately $30,000, will financially assist minority students pursuing nursing degrees at ONU. The scholarship was created thanks to the generosity of retired ONU professor Dr. Patricia Freeman and the support of Rozier's son Steven Washington.

Freeman said, “This is also a tribute to the wonderful nurses who cared for Buster when he was a patient at Lima Memorial Health System, St. Rita’s Medical Center and Kindred Hospital.”

Raise a 9-ton steeple 54 feet in the air in Ada and you are bound to have an audience.

The steeple story, videos and photos was the largest single viewed story ever posted on the Ada Icon.

Wait until you read the size of the audience. Thanks to Google Analytics (which records viewer information) and the power of social media, here’s how the Ada Icon spread the word about the steeple project to former Ada residents around the globe.
