Sula Decker was born in Kentucky
Sula Decker, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 8:52 p.m. at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on June 24, 1946, in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Ernie and Goldie (Joseph) Mullins. On December 31, 2001, Sula married William Irvin Decker, Sr. and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2018.
Sula is survived by her son: Timothy Bailey of St. Marys; two daughters: Tamra (Gary Burden) Bassitt of Lima and Tara (Ross Ohler) Decker of Alger; three stepsons: Steve (Angela) Decker of Alger, Craig (Melissa) Decker of Alger and William “Chip” (Cristine) Decker Jr of Harrod; a step daughter, Amber Webb of Ada; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers: Dennis (Sharon) Mullins of Waynesfield and Gary (Connie) Mullins of Vaughnsville; and three sisters: Ella Scott of Lakeview, Brenda (Johnny VanAtta) Joseph of Lakeview and Donna (Robert) Teeters of Kenton.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Tony Adams and David Bailey; a grandson; a stepdaughter, Maryagnes Ash; and two brothers: Phillip Mullins and Mannis Mullins.
Sula previously worked as a nurses aid.
It was her wish to be cremated. Memorial Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20 at the funeral home in Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
