The Ohio Northern Esports team fell in the finals of the Ohio National Collegiate Esports Tournament on Thursday, April 30, to Cincinnati 3-0.

The Polar Bears reached the finals in their first collegiate season with a 3-1-1 victory over Ohio State in the semifinals on April 23 and a 3-0 sweep of Kent State in the quarterfinals on April 16.

Ohio Northern, under first-year head coach Troy Chiefari, finished the spring Overwatch NEC season with a 7-4 record.

"This is a great accomplishment for our players," Chiefari said. "To reach the finals in our first year is very good. Everyone feels bad about the loss, but keep cheering on our guys."
