Ohio Northern University will hold a virtual town hall meeting for alumni and friends at noon, Wednesday, April 15, delivered through ONU’s Facebook at: Facebook.com/ohionorthern.
The purpose of the town hall is to offer detailed information on Ohio Northern's response to COVID-19 and to hear what's on the minds of alumni and friends of the university.
Facebook Live streams are now accessible and open to everyone regardless of having an account or not. You can watch it without a Facebook profile and without logging in.
The Ada Community Improvement Corp (CIC) meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, is cancelled according to Eileen Peterman, CIC secretary. The next meeting of the organization is July 15.
There will be no alumni banquet for the Ada High School alumni association, according to Kim Bowen, co-president of the organization.
"We have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 alumni banquet original planned for June 6, due to the current situation and the safety of our alumni," said Bowen.
The Ada Liberty Joint Ambulance District Board will not be meeting on April 20. The next meeting will be Monday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m., according to Nancy Kindle, fiscal officer.
If you've followed the Ada Public Library Facebook you are aware that Gossman Farms have two baby ducks and three baby turkey that were in need of names.
They invited library patrons to help name the birds - a boy and girl name for the ducks and a boy and two girl games for the turkeys.
This invitation came about after the library had a chicken storytime at the farm on April 7. CLICK HERE to watch a video of the visit.
After several suggestions, the decision was to name the poultry after the spice rack.
