The Ohio Northern women's basketball program will kick off its 2019-20 campaign under 19th-year head coach Michele Durand on Tuesday, November 12 with a road contest against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Anderson (Ind.) at 7 p.m.

Following their season opener, the Polar Bears will make a northwestern trek to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the 2019 Wisconsin Lutheran Tournament on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23. ONU is scheduled to face off against the tournament host on Friday evening before battling Wisconsin-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon.

Ada Public Library hosts a Coloring Club today, Friday, June 28, at 3:30 p.m. All ages are welcome.

Attendees will receive a ticket to win prizes. This is part of the summer reading program. 

The acrylic resurfacer, painting the surface, layout and stripe the courts took place this week

Attention Ada tennis players - the courts are calling.

Thanks to a community effort by a tennis courts resurfacing fundraiser that started last fall the courts' upgrade is now complete.

The renovation project cost $66,075 and funding is also very close to being completed.

The costs included $55,125 for an asphalt overlay and acrylic resurfacer, plus $10,950 to remove and replace fence fabric with tension wire.

LIMA - The visiting Ada Alligator summer swim team defeated WOAL foe Sherwood in a close meet on a warm Monday evening.

Ada won the combined meet team score, 186-154.

The Alligator combined dual meet record improved to 2-2 after the tight win.

Ada girls beat the competition

ADA - The Ada swim team lost an extremely close meet to visiting West Ohio Aquatic League rival Wapakoneta in a makeup meet on a hot Wednesday evening.

Wapak edged Ada 359-356 in the combined meet score. Ada won the girls meet 189-184, while the Waves nipped the Alligator boys 175-167.

The Gators (2-3) host county foe Kenton Thursday at 6 p.m. in their regular season dual meet finale.

Paige Jochims masters the art of blowing bubbles. The bubble experience was part of Thursday's space camp in the public library's summer reading program. Check out additional bubble-blowers in the next photos in this series.
