In The Freed Center on Friday evening

The Ohio Northern University Wind Orchestra, with Antoine T. Clark as conductor, will present a concert, “Give Us This Day,” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26, in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.

The program will explore concepts of origin, joy, celebration and awareness through the music of Andreas Makris, Alexander Arutiunian, John Barnes Chance, J. S. Bach and David Maslanka.

As stated by Maslanka, “the words ‘give us this day,’ from the Lord’s Prayer, touch the idea of being immediately and vividly alive in the moment, the reason why music making can be so vital and compelling.” Dave Kosmyna, ONU professor of trumpet, will be the featured soloist.

As part of the Interstate 75 reconstruction and widening project in the city of Findlay, the following ramps at the interchange of U.S. 68/state Route 15 and Lima Avenue are expected to close Monday, April 29, for approximately three weeks for roundabout construction.

The Easter Bunny is generally the animal that shows up about this time of year. But, in Ada, apparently, the popular animal appears as a bulldog in bunny ears. (Thanks to the Ada Bulldog Facebook for this photo)

Leland Crouse is the go-to guy for all things Ada. The retired Ford plant employee and self-professed history buff began tracing his family’s genealogy in the 1990s.  Since most of his relatives were from Ada, it led to an interest in the history of the village itself. Then a bequest from the local newspaper really ignited his passion for Ada’s past.
