E. Isabelle Nelson worked for Lima Memorial Hospital
E. Isabelle Nelson passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at her residence in Alger.
She was born on September 9, 1923, in Liberty Township, Hardin County, Ohio to the late Jesse T. and Effie (Phillips) Hubbell. On December 2, 1945, Isabelle married Willis “Bill” Nelson and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2007.
Isabelle retired from Lima Memorial Hospital in 1991 after working for fifty years as a registered nurse. She served as a former member of the Board of Directors for Lima Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Maysville Methodist Church. She graduated in 1941 from Ada High School and in 1944 from the Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Isabelle was a member of the American Legion Post #185 Ladies Auxiliary of Ada.
She is survived by her three daughters: Anita (Bill) Kolesar of Avella, PA, Alane (David) Collins of Ada and Annette Nelson of Ada; four grandchildren: William “Wink” Kolesar, Ethan Collins, Nick Collins, and Erin Collins; three great grandchildren: Madeline, Jesse, and Isabelle.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Jesse Hubbell and Reed Hubbell.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery, Maysville.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3rd, at the funeral home in Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Maysville United Methodist Church and/or the charity of the donor’s choice.
