Elmer E. Ousley worked for Dana Corp.
Elmer E. Ousley, age 78, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 11:55 a.m. at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born on October 20, 1943, in Harrod, Ohio to the late Lonzo and Josie (Prater) Ousley.
Elmer retired from Dana Corporation, Lima where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of the Lima Elks B.P.O.E. #54, the Lima Eagles Post #370 and the Lima VFW Post #1275. He loved to play golf and was an avid sports fan, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes. Elmer loved his family, especially his grandsons.
He is survived by his two daughters Ellen (Thomas) McLauren of Dublin and Susan (Jeff) Richards of Englewood; two grandchildren: Shawn Richards and David Richards; two brothers: Adice “Bud” (Helen) Ousley of South Dakota and Hager Ousley of Morehead, KY; and a sister, Judy (Chuck) Wireman of Alger; and many nieces and nephews.
Elmer was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Ousley; and five sisters: Vernie Robinson, Stella Rose, Eunice Price, Melba Puckett, and Lois Speicher.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Rev. Anthony Krummrey officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger. The funeral services for Elmer will be lived streamed on our Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook page beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 25th.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
