Maxine Isabel McBride worked for the Ada Schools
Maxine Isabel McBride, 89, formerly of Ada, Ohio, passed away on January 21, 2022 in Grant, Michigan.
She was born on January 13, 1933 to Thomas and Gertrude (Bullock) Deringer in Lima, OH. She graduated from Ada High School in 1951. On November 16, 1958 she married Howard McBride in Ada, Ohio and he preceded her in death in March 2002.
A long-time member of Ada First Baptist Church (Ohio) and Grace Community Church, Fremont MI, Maxine McBride was clothed in her Lord Jesus Christ and loved others accordingly. Raised in Ada, Ohio she retired from Ada Public Schools after 40 years of employment, later volunteering among the Navajo in New Mexico and more recently with Gerber Spectrum Health, the Dogwood Center, and Friends of the Library in Fremont, Michigan.
She is survived by two brothers, George of Marysville, OH and Charles of Ada, OH, her son Mark (Denise) McBride of Newaygo MI, and granddaughter April (Tyler) Arends of Newaygo MI.
Public memorial visitation will be Saturday, February 12 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Ada First Baptist Church, 350 West North Avenue in Ada, OH.
