Ada's McClain wrestles at district meet

Ada High School sophomore Clayton McClain competed in the Div. III district wrestling tournament Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5, at Hobart Arena in Troy.
McClain authored a 1-2 mark in the 126 lbs. bracket of the double-elmination event to finish his season with a 27-11 record.
McClain won his first-round match Friday by a 5-3 decision over fellow sophomore Levi Griffin of Middletown Madison.
In his second round bout vs. undefeated Miami East senior Max Shore, McClain was pinned at 1:09 to drop into the consolation bracket.
On Saturday morning, McClain faced junior Mike Reed of Versailles in the second consolation round. He lost a 9-6 decision to be eliminated from competition.
