Letter: 3rd annual Days of Caring
Dear Ada Icon readers,
The United Way of Hardin County “Days of Caring” is a yearly event that takes place each June. This event started with around 20 volunteers and is continually growing with last year's event having 100 volunteers completing 9 service projects in Hardin County. Days of Caring is established to promote the spirit and value of local volunteerism. We aim to increase the awareness of local human service agencies and schools while demonstrating what people working together for the community’s good can accomplish. Our goal this year is to double last year's volunteers and service projects.
It takes an army of volunteers to accomplish something of this scale. If you work at or are a part of an organization that wants to volunteer for Days of Caring, reach out to the United Way of Hardin County to learn more about volunteering. Call Michele at 419-675-1860 or email at [email protected]
We also have sponsorship opportunities to help with volunteer T-shirts and supplies needed to accomplish these projects. There are different levels of sponsorship and at each level the sponsor will get recognition on the back of the T-shirts, social media postings, and on our website.
Gold Level - $300
Silver Level-$150
Bronze Level-$100
Another way to get involved in the 2022 Day of Caring by helping us find volunteer projects in Hardin County. If you work at a public school, local public service department (such as park & recs) , nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, etc. please reach out about submitting your idea for a project that volunteers can complete. The sooner we approve a project, the better we are able to pool supplies and volunteers.
Thank you,
Days of Caring Committee
