Men's Golf begins spring schedule

The Ohio Northern men's golf team opened its 2022 spring season with a third place finish at the Muskingum Spring Invitational on Monday at the Zanesville Country Club.
The Polar Bears (20-21-4 overall) tied for third out of six teams with Muskingum with a 308. Otterbein won the team title with a 300, Capital was second with a 307, Marietta was fifth with a 330 and Hiram was sixth with a 364.
Junior Josh Steyer (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) led ONU with a third place finish out of 54 golfers with a 2-over par 74.
Senior Andrew Slusher (Covington) tied for sixth with a 76, senior Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) tied for 12th with a 78 and senior Austin White (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) tied for 19th with an 80.
Muskingum's Cameron Henry won Medalist honors with a 71.
The Polar Bears will return to action April 2 at the Bluffton Spring Classic.
