MARION - The Ada tennis team won the seven-team Spartan Invitational tournamentat Marion Pleasant Saturday behind two first-place showings.
Bulldogs Isaac Spar and Miranda Wills each went 3-0 to win individual tourney titles at second and third singles, respectively.
Cade Mullins took third in the number one singles flight, posting a 3-1 record.
The first doubles tadem of Morgan Swick and Dexter Woods went 2-1 and finished second. At second doubles, Gabe Hasan and Hunter Wells took third with a 3-1 mark.

ADA - The visiting Ada baseball team swept backyard arch-rival Upper Scioto Valley in a wild, long doubleheader Saturday at the park.
The Bulldogs won the opener 5-2, and took a seesaw nightcap battle 20-14.
Ada improved to 8-5 with the two wins over USV, which fell to 3-9.
The Bulldogs raced to a 2-0 lead in the first inning of game one. USV cut the deficit in half with a run in the top of the third.
Ada regained a 3-1 lead with a run in the home third.

ADA - The Ada softball team took two from local arch-rival USV in a non-league twinbill Saturday at the park.
The Lady Bulldogs won game one 14-5, then captured the nightcap 6-2. Sophomore hurler Leona Dalton pitched complete-game wins in both ends of the twinbill.
Ada improved to 7-7 with the doubleheader sweep, and the Rams fell to 3-6 with the defeats.
The purple and gold jumped ahead 7-4 in the first game.
Lexi Waugh beat out an infield hit in the home fourth to start another rally. One out later Sidney Gossard slapped a solid RBI single up the middle to score Kiersten Cortez.

MARION - The Ada tennis team defeated previously unbeaten Marion Harding 3-2 on the road Friday evening.
Ada improved to 9-3 with the big victory, while MH fell to 9-1 with its first loss.
The top three Bulldog singles players each won their matches in straight sets to pave the way to the win.
Ada senior Cade Mullins improved to 9-1 with his first singles victory, while junior Isaac Spar ran his mark to 8-2. Miranda Wills improved to 8-3 with the decisive match victory at third singles.
"What an exciting win for us today over a talented, unbeaten opponent in Marion Harding," said head coach Cody Hurley.
