WAPAKONETA - The Ada boys basketball team was seeded 11th of 12 teams at the Coldwater/Bath Div. IV sectional drawings held Sunday at Wapakoneta.
The Bulldog boys (3-15) will take on New Knoxville (3-15) in a rematch Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the sectional semifinals at Coldwater. Tip-off is set for 6:15 p.m.
Ada lost a close battle at NK by a 47-44 count on Jan. 5.
"It is a great opportunity for us to redeem ourselves from a contest early in the year where we felt we did not play our best basketball," said Ada head coach Dre White.
Joseph Samraney of Beechview, formerly of the Hill District, died on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019.
Son of the late Charles N. and Asma; beloved husband of Sheila; step-father of Kimberly Rene and Christopher Kastens; brother of Michael "Michie" (Joanne) Samraney and Elaine (Joe) Renshaw, and the late Loretta Samraney and Rosemary Brown.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews; brother-in-law of Sharon Hubbell, and step-grandfather of Aden Kastens. Joe spent 1965-2006 in the Washington, D.C. area.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery, LaFayette.
