Ada Disc Golf Association expanded the local course to 21 holes last year

Chad Hays can’t wait until spring – not just because he’s tired of winter.

He’s a member of the Ada Disc Golf Association. That means that he can’t wait until Tuesday night league starts at the ONU disc golf course.

Chad’s such a fanatic at the sport that he even has a practice basket in his back yard. And, has a “hole-in-one,” and a signed disc to prove it. “It was a 205-foot toss on number 18 at McComb,” he said.

He retired the disc after that game. “It’s in a shadow box and I’ll never play it again.”

Here's the Ada schools Polar Vortex education challenge

School cancellation doesn't mean Ada students stop learning.

This announcement from Ada Bulldogs Facebook provides students with a "Polar Vortex" learning challenge.

Here's what is it all about:
Take a picture of your student doing a learning activity and provide a description of your student and the learning activity and your student could win lunch from Viva Maria’s.

Posts will be entered in a drawing to eat lunch at Viva Maria’s with a friend and the Ada administrators.

On the outside of the doors are two bulldogs. But, step inside the Ada school, turn around and check the next photo. The bulldogs are gone. These clever window covers were installed of the holidays in the school. There are other windows like this in the superintendent' office.
