ONU diver Cubberley competes in NCAA DIII Championships

Ohio Northern freshman Holden Cubberley (Celina) competed in the 3-meter diving competition at the NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday, March 16 at IUPUI Natatorium.
Cubberley posted a final score of 395.75 points for 11 dives in the Trials portion of the competition, placing him 19th in the field of 23.
The top eight finishers from the Trials advanced to the Finals, while finishers 9-16 advanced to the Consolation Finals.
Upon the completion of the Finals and Consolation Finals, the top eight finishers earned All-America honors, and finishers 9-16 were named Honorable Mention All-America.
Cubberley qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing ninth on the 1-meter board (421.90 points) and fifth on the 3-meter board (461.65 points) at the Region 1 Diving Championships on February 25-26.
The 2021-22 Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Diver of the Year won both the 1- and 3-meter diving competitions at the OAC Championships with 491.75 points and a school-record 500.75 points, respectively.
Cubberley will compete in the 1-meter diving competition at the NCAA Championships on March 18 beginning at approximately 1 p.m.
