ONU men's tennis improves to 4-0 on spring break trip

The Ohio Northern men's tennis team improved to 4-0 during its spring break trip with a pair of victories on Monday at the Hilton Head Resort.
The Polar Bears (10-3 overall) began the morning with an 8-1 victory over Lake Forest (3-3), then won 7-2 over Berry (4-5) in the afternoon.
Freshman Drew Swisher (Findlay) and senior Zach Beaschler (Ada) each went undefeated with 3-0 records on the day.
The pair each won at No. 6 singles and combined to go 2-0 at No. 3 doubles.
Senior Vinh Thai (Galloway/Saint Charles) and freshmen Tristan Munteanu (Draper, Utah/Corner Canyon), Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) and Sam Sran (PB, India/St. Stephens and Gian Jyoti Global) all went 2-0 in singles play for ONU.
Against LFC, Northern swept the doubles courts and took five of the six singles courts for the win over the Foresters.
In the match with the Vikings, Berry won two of the doubles courts to lead 2-1, but the Polar Bears swept the doubles courts for the win. Senior Andrew Cochran (Wooster) and Swisher posted three-set wins at Nos. 1 and 6 singles.
The Polar Bears will return to action Wednesday with an 8:30 am match against Wabash (Ind.) at the Shipyard Racquet Club.
