Dorothy J. Lenhart worked for Oldaker Manufacturing
Dorothy J. Lenhart, age 98, of Dola, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 12:14 p.m. at Vancrest of Ada, surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 16, 1924, in Ada, Ohio to the late Eugene and Mozelle (Bullock) Thompson. On November 21, 1942, Dorothy married Herbert W. Lenhart, he preceded her in death on February 16, 1995.
Dorothy is survived by her three children: Dean (Annetta) Lenhart of Dola, Dennis (Cheryl) Lenhart of Dunkirk and Barbara (Thomas) Roberts of Dola; five grandchildren: Jeff (Stephanie) Lenhart, Jodi (Jason) Thiel, Candace (Wayne Crowe) Lenhart, Cindy (Mike) Brugler, and Steve (Katie) Roberts; ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Ruby Ludwig of Greenville and Shirley High of Lima; and two sisters-in-law: Wilma Thompson and Joan Lenhart.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Thompson; and three sisters: Mable Hathaway, Patricia Thayer, and Alice Jo Kohli.
Dorothy retired from Oldaker Manufacturing. She also helped on the family farm and raised chickens. She was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren, Harrod and was a member of the Women’s Fellowship at the church. She was a member of the Ada Senior Citizens. Dorothy was a great pie baker, and her potato salad was a family favorite. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Vancrest for the care given to Dorothy.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at the funeral home in Ada.
