Boots and Buckles 4-H report for May 23

Meeting was called to order by President Chloe Anderson. Club said the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H pledge.
Next was roll call, answering “Where is your dream vacation?”
Then the minutes from the last meeting were read by secretary Josie Schwemer. Treasurer’s report was given by treasure Issac Anderson.
New business
- Livestock registration deadline is June 1, 2022 except dairy feeders and broilers.
- Dairy feeder weigh in is May 28.
- Quality Assurance is May 22. Members who take Livestock must attend a QA meeting. The club is buying the members stall signs for the fair.
- Horse workouts will be starting June 2.
Demonstrations were then given: Colton Root demonstrated planting seeds on paper before putting planting in the ground, and Jadalyn Worthington demonstrated soccer safety.
The club practiced for the skill-a-thon, talked about proper judging attire, went over what good posters should look like, and orders were taken for new t-shirts and sweatshirts.
Refreshments were provided by Marina and Avery Fox.
Next meeting is June 6, 2022 at 6:30 pm at the flower beds at the fairgrounds. Members should meet at the flag pole and wear clothes to plant flowers. Bring garden tools, rakes, brooms, gloves, and buckets.
