Bulldog netters 3rd at league championships

Playing in Bryan, the Ada tennis squad finished a solid third at the six-team Northern Buckeye Tennis League tournament Saturday, May 7.
Bulldog junior Brendan Jameson finished second in the second singles flight to post the best Ada finish.
Bulldog senior southpaw Dexter Woods came in third in the first singles flight. He beat Wauseon's Gavin Van Dellen 8-1 in the third-place match.
Ada junior Amelia Alexander also finished third in the third singles bracket. She defeated Zeb Siefker of Wauseon 8-1 in her third-place match.
Bulldog junior Geddes Klingler and senior Isaac Williams lost the consolation bout at first doubles to the Wauseon tandem of Riley Morr and Mason Ritter 8-5 to finish fourth.
Host Bryan won the event, followed by Maumee Valley Country Day, Ada and Wauseon. Archbold and Rossford also competed.
"I am just proud of the way our team played today overall and as individuals," said Ada coach Tyler Christoff. "We are slowly learning, and it's always good to see the work they put in come to this point."
Ada hosts Upper Sandusky Monday, May 9 on the park courts at 4:30 p.m.
