Charles A. Zuppardo Sr. was a truck driver
Charles A. “Charlie” Zuppardo, Sr., age 91, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 4:44 a.m. at the Springview Manor, Lima.
He was born on October 3, 1930, in Lima, Ohio to the late Joseph and Gentile (Taggi) Zuppardo. Charlie married Rosie Poling on June 26, 1948, and she preceded him in death on October 6, 1996. On July 6, 2000, Charlie married Mary J. Ward Helser and she survives in Lima.
Also surviving is a daughter, Deborah Eggeman of Lima; two stepsons: Jeffrey Helser and Jay (Tracy) Helser both of Lima; two stepdaughters: Janice Finnerty of Ft. Myers, FL, and Judy (Don) Podlesnik of Lima; six grandchildren, six step grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren; and fourteen great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph (Bea) Zuppardo of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles A. Zuppardo, Jr; a daughter, Linda Zuppardo; and two brothers: James Zuppardo and Peter Zuppardo.
Charlie retired from Commercial Lovelace Motor Freight, Lima, where he worked as a truck driver.
There will be no services at this time. It was Charlie’s wish to be cremated.
