Marvin L. Ford was an auctioneer and farmer
Marvin L. “Lukey” Ford, Jr., age 81, of Harrod, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 1:16 p.m. at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 20, 1940, to the late Marvin Sr. and Ethel (Wierman) Ford. On August 7, 1961, Marvin married Marilyn (Kline) Ford; they were married for sixty years, she survives in Harrod.
Marvin was a graduate of Roundhead High School. He was a farmer, and an auctioneer for many years. He also worked at the Hardin County Highway Dept, in the sign maintenance dept. He served on the Hardin County Fairboard and was a 4-H advisor. Marvin owned several horses in his life, including a contest horse Nick and a favorite dog named, Bo.
Also surviving are his three daughters: Lori (Ric) Martin of Plain City, Lisa (Alan) Shaw of Harrod and Julie (Ron) Eibling of Harrod; six grandchildren: Linley (Matt) Fullowan of Cherry Hill, N.J., Jacob (Sarah) Shaw of Marysville, Justin (Robin) Eibling of Alger, Gabe Martin of Columbus, Tyler (Jason) Shaw of Dayton and Austin (Mary) Eibling of Ada; five great grandchildren: Olivia, Fletcher, Jaxtin, Waylon and Declan Eibling; two sisters: Lois Ann (Joe) Beeson of Winona Lake, IN, and Edith Faye Greiwe of Carmel, IN; three brothers-in-law: Gene Cox of Waynesfield, Roger (Jane) Kline of Ashville, and Bob Kline of Wapakoneta; and several nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Cox of Waynesfield.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with David Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Roundhead Cemetery at a later date.
